Kylee Jo

I had my first photo shoot with a little person this past Tuesday.  Kylee Jo was the cutest and the happiest baby I have ever met.  In the almost three hours we were together she only cried twice.  Once was when she lost sight of her mamma and only for a second and the second was when we put her in a wooden bucket prop that she really didn't like.  At all.

Here are a couple of storyboards of some of the photos that I took.

I hope y'all like them.

Yep, it's been a while!

Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up this time.  It's just a crazy life right now.  Hubs is working 24 hour shifts which means I have to feed morning and night on top of my full time day job.  Oh, did I mention that my boxer dog had his ACL removed and had a 'tightrope' procedure done and we're on week 6 of a 12 week recovery and physical therapy regimen...{{{Big Sigh}}}

I took these a while back and just haven't had time to post.

Sweet Shot Tuesday

It's been a while since I've submitted anything to Wordless Wednesday.  Now Wordless WEdnesday has changed to Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Here's my Sweet Shot that I got a couple of days ago...

We've had a plague of grasshoppers in N. Texas this summer.  Anyone that knows me well know that I HATE grasshoppers.  I have a pretty funny story on my ranch blog about me and a grasshopper and a pair of jeans if you want a good laugh today.

So I say...GO Spidey GO!!   A dead grasshopper is a good grasshopper in my book.

Wordless Wednesday

It's officially springtime!  I can always tell when spring is here, our cows start  giving birth to their babies.  This is the latest edition to our herd.  She was born this morning and Mamma Lolita is still cleaning her off.

Wordless Wednesday

Yep, guess it's going to be a 'Wordless Wednesday' kinda blog...LOL!!  I hope it doesn't continue that way.  My day job has been keeping me really busy and weekends have been keeping me outside getting the yard spring and summer ready with all my flowers being planted and my plants being moved back outside.

Here's my Wordless Wednesday flower today.

I took these in 2010 on a road not far from our house.  Id never seen more wildflowers on a one mile stretch of a Texas country back road than I found on this road.  I plan on going back this year to see what it looks like.  These were around the beginning of May so I need to mark my calendar for mid April and start checking.  With our crazy weather everything bloomed a month early this year.

Wordless Wednesday

Okay, so my second ever post is for Wordless Wednesday.  I hope I'm not setting a pattern...LOL!!

More of my butterfly pics from the Butterflies in the Garden exhibit at Fort Worth Botanic Gardens.

I can't wait to go back, hopefully this weekend and see what other kinds of butterflies are coming out of their cocoons.

Wordless Wednesday

For my first blog post on my 'under construction' photography blog, I thought I'd try something out of my comfort zone and participate in Kent Weakley's "Wordless Wednesday"  Kent is a very well respected photographer and I only aspire to be like him one day.  I receive his newsletters and always look forward to Wednesday and see what great photo Kent would display.  He's opened up his "Wordless Wednesday" for other photographers to share their photos as well.

So, here goes my first entry into Wordless Wednesday...

My mother, myself and my two nieces went to the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth and went through the "Butterflies in the Garden" exhibit they have every spring.   I could have stayed in there for hours but my two preteen nieces got bored, thirsty and hungry so I had to leave (note to self; next time drive your own vehicle.).   This is just one of the 50 or so pics I took of the butterflies and flowers.

I'll post more pics in another post.
